Greetings & Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the Alliance for Progress Charter School website.  Our website is a great resource to learn about the myriad of wonderful things involving the students and staff of AFPCS.

After serving Alliance for Progress Charter School students and families for the last 8 years, I am excited and proud to share that AFPCS was ranked #1 in our School District of Philadelphia Peer Group and received an award from Mayor Kenney and Dr. Hite for the achievement.  AFPCS was also ranked #8 of 82 Philadelphia Charter Schools by the Pennsylvania Department of Education!  Students and families of Alliance can expect that we will continue our tradition of excellence, continued improvement and commitment to fulfilling the individual learning needs and aspirations of each student.  With the support of my staff, I fully embrace the Alliance for Progress mission and vision and look forward to expanding our technological capacity to prepare our students for the 21st century.

I am eager to continue building relationships and learning more about our students, staff, families, and community.  I encourage parents/caregivers to be actively involved in the achievement and success of their child and our school program by:

• setting high expectations for your child;
• teaching and supporting the rules of behavior in our school;
• supporting teachers so they can give the most to each child;
• visiting your child's classroom and communicating regularly with your child's teachers;
• attending parent meetings and serving on the Parent Advisory Board;
• participating in school programs and events
• supporting your children and our school in fundraising efforts

I fully anticipate a fantastic school year and am looking forward to maintaining a strong partnership with the students, staff, parents, and community of Alliance for Progress Charter School!
